About Aloha State Park
Aloha State Park sits on Mullett Lake, part of the Inland Waterway chain in the northern Lower Peninsula near Cheboygan. With 283 campsites, it's one of the larger state park campgrounds in the region, and its protected boat basin makes it a magnet for boaters who want to dock right at their campsite's doorstep.
Sites are spacious and sunny, with electric service throughout and full-hookup water and sewer connections available in the south section — a step up from the typical Michigan state park campground. Modern restrooms, a sanitation station, playground, and volleyball court round out the amenities.

Mullett Lake is the park's main draw — a large, deep inland lake connected to the broader Inland Waterway system, popular for boating, walleye and pike fishing, and water sports. Registered campers can dock their boats in the park's protected basin rather than trailering in and out each day. The park's location near Cheboygan also puts Lake Huron, the Straits of Mackinac, and Burt Lake within easy driving distance.

Summer is the park's busiest season for boating and fishing on Mullett Lake. The campground typically operates April through November, with shoulder-season stays offering quieter access to the boat basin.

Getting There
The park is about 10 minutes south of Cheboygan off I-75, making it a convenient stop for anyone heading toward the Straits of Mackinac from the south.
