Plain language summary: MittenCamper provides park guides, cancellation alerts, and booking tools for Michigan campers. We are not affiliated with the Michigan DNR or any park agency. We do not book campsites on your behalf. CampDrop is a notification service — you complete your own reservations on MiDNRReservations.com or Recreation.gov.
By accessing or using MittenCamper.com and any associated services including CampDrop alerts (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.
These terms apply to all visitors, users, and subscribers. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
MittenCamper provides the following services:
MittenCamper.com is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, MiDNRReservations.com, Recreation.gov, the National Park Service, or any state or federal park agency.
MittenCamper does not book campsites on your behalf. All campsite reservations are made directly by you on the official booking platforms. CampDrop alerts notify you of potential availability — you are solely responsible for completing your own reservation and verifying availability before booking.
Subscription and Billing: CampDrop subscriptions are billed monthly at the rate shown at time of signup. Prices may change with 30 days notice. Your subscription continues until you cancel.
Free Trial: New subscribers receive a 7-day free trial. No charge is made during the trial period. You may cancel at any time during the trial at no cost.
Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial billing periods.
Pause Mode: Subscribers may pause their subscription at any time. No charges are made while a subscription is paused. Pausing does not constitute cancellation.
Alert Accuracy: CampDrop alerts are based on availability detected at the time of scanning. We cannot guarantee that a site will still be available by the time you attempt to book it. Campsite availability can change in seconds. MittenCamper is not responsible for sites that become unavailable between detection and your booking attempt.
Alert Expiration: Active alerts automatically deactivate when a matching notification is sent or when your specified arrival date passes. You are responsible for setting new alerts as needed.
MittenCamper makes reasonable efforts to ensure that park information, rates, season dates, hookup availability, and reservation policies are accurate and current. However, this information changes frequently and we cannot guarantee accuracy at all times.
Park closures, rate changes, hookup configuration changes, and policy updates may not be immediately reflected on MittenCamper. Always verify current conditions directly with the park or at michigan.gov/dnr before your trip.
The booking calculator provides estimated reservation window opening dates based on current Michigan DNR policy. Actual opening times may vary. We are not responsible for missed booking windows based on calculator estimates.
By providing your mobile phone number and subscribing to CampDrop, you consent to receive SMS text messages from MittenCamper. Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your carrier plan.
You may opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP to any message or by cancelling your subscription through your account settings.
You agree not to use the Service to:
All content on MittenCamper including park guides, articles, designs, logos, and tools is owned by MittenCamper or used with permission. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without written permission.
MittenCamper provides the Service "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, MittenCamper is not liable for:
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to MittenCamper in the 30 days preceding the claim.
These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved in the courts of Michigan.
